Terms & conditions
The terms that apply when you buy coffee from SEADOG Coffee, start a subscription, or enquire about wholesale.
About these terms
These terms apply when you buy coffee or other goods from SEADOG Coffee, start a subscription, or use this website. By placing an order you agree to them.
SEADOG Coffee is a UK coffee roastery. If anything here conflicts with a separate written agreement — for example a wholesale supply agreement — that agreement wins.
Your order and when the contract starts
Placing an order is an offer to buy. The contract begins when we accept it by confirming the order and taking payment. If we cannot supply something, we will tell you promptly and refund anything already paid.
Please check your coffee, size, grind and delivery details before paying. If you spot a mistake, contact us as soon as you can and we will put it right where the order has not yet been roasted or packed.
Prices and payment
All prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where it applies. Shipping is shown at checkout before you pay. We may change prices at any time, but the price you pay is the one shown when you order.
Payment is taken by card through Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. One-off orders are charged at checkout. Subscriptions are charged automatically on the delivery dates you choose.
Subscriptions
Your first delivery is free, then every delivery is 12% off the single-bag price for as long as you keep the subscription. A subscription renews automatically until it is cancelled.
You can change which coffee arrives next from your account page. That change takes effect from the following delivery, not one already on its way.
Cancellations are handled by us: tell us and we will cancel it. You keep the delivery you have already paid for, then the subscription stops. We will not charge you again after that.
If a payment fails, we will contact you rather than cancel quietly. If it still cannot be taken, the subscription pauses until payment is back in order.
Roasting, packing and delivery
Coffee is roasted to order in small batches, so allow the time shown at checkout before it ships. Roasted coffee is a fresh food: we pack it to travel well, and it is best enjoyed within four weeks of the roast date printed on the bag.
We deliver to the addresses shown at checkout. Once a parcel has left us, the courier's tracking is the best place to watch it. If a parcel arrives late or damaged, tell us and we will make it right.
Returns, refunds and faulty goods
You have 14 days to change your mind about goods bought online under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, counted from the day you receive them. The coffee must be unopened and unused; we will refund you within 14 days of getting it back or hearing from you.
If something is faulty, damaged in transit or not what you ordered, tell us and we will replace it or refund you — your choice. Faulty goods are our responsibility, not yours, and these terms do not affect your statutory rights.
Because coffee is a perishable food, sealed bags that have been opened cannot be returned unless they are faulty.
Wholesale and trade accounts
Wholesale prices, delivery terms and payment terms are agreed with each trade customer and set out in their account. Trade prices are for businesses buying to resell or serve, not for personal use.
Trade orders are invoiced or taken by card as agreed. Invoices are due on the terms stated on them; late payment may pause further deliveries until the account is brought up to date.
Your account
Keep your sign-in link and account details safe and do not share them. Tell us quickly if you think someone else has used your account. We are not responsible for orders placed on your account before you tell us.
Our website and content
The SEADOG name, logo, bag artwork and the words and photographs on this site belong to us. You may not copy, reuse or resell them without our permission.
We keep the site running as carefully as we can, but we cannot promise it will be available without interruption or free of errors.
Liability
We are responsible if we fail to deliver what we have promised, and nothing here limits your rights as a consumer. Beyond that, we are not liable for losses that were not caused by our breach, or that could not reasonably have been foreseen when you ordered.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version shown when you order is the version that applies to that order.
Complaints and the law
If something has gone wrong, tell us through the enquiry form at /wholesale and we will reply within one month. If we cannot settle it, you can complain to the Alternative Dispute Resolution service or to the courts.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales handle any dispute.
