Privacy policy

How SEADOG Coffee collects, uses and protects your personal data when you order, subscribe or sign up for news.

Who we are

SEADOG Coffee is a UK coffee roastery. We are the controller of the personal data described here. Questions about your data can be sent through our enquiry form at /wholesale and we will reply within one month.

What we collect

Your name, email address, phone number (if given) and delivery address; what you order, your subscription choices (coffee, size, grind, delivery rhythm) and your order history; wholesale enquiry details; and your email if you join our newsletter.

We never see or store your full card number. Card payments are handled by Stripe.

Why we use it

To take, roast, pack and deliver your orders and run your subscription (contract).

To send emails about your orders, subscription and account (contract).

To keep records for tax and accounting (legal obligation).

To send our newsletter, only if you opted in — you can unsubscribe at any time (consent).

To prevent fraud and keep the site secure (legitimate interests).

Who we share it with

Only the services that help us run the shop: Stripe (payments), our website and database hosting provider, our email delivery provider, and the couriers who deliver your coffee. If you were a customer of our previous Shopify / Appstle store, your customer details were moved to this site so we could continue serving you. We never sell your data.

How long we keep it

Order and payment records are kept for six years for tax purposes. Account and subscription details are kept while you are a customer and for up to two years after. Newsletter sign-ups are kept until you unsubscribe.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, delete or move your data, object to how we use it, or withdraw consent at any time. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Cookies

We use only the essential storage needed to keep your basket and keep you signed in. We don't use advertising cookies.
