Tasting Notes: Melon, Lime, Sweet

This carefully curated lot comes from Rwamatamu, a family-owned producer in Rwanda's Muhanga District, established in 2015 by Rutaganda Gaston and Mukantwaza Laeticia. Grown and harvested by 34 local farmers under the mentorship of lead farmer Gracien Tugirimana, each batch reflects generations of coffee expertise.

At the Mbare washing station, cherries are hand-sorted to remove defects, then pulped and washed through grading channels. A 12-hour fermentation in tanks develops complexity, followed by 24 days of sun-drying on raised beds to achieve optimal moisture balance.

Expect juicy melon notes with bright lime-like acidity, balanced by a sweet, syrupy body. Ideal for filter brewing to highlight the delicate fruit-forward profile.
